The Petition

We, the undersigned residents of Croton-on-Hudson, call on the Village Board of Trustees to enact a full year-round ban on gas-powered leaf blowers within village limits.

Gas-powered leaf blowers produce dangerous noise levels exceeding 100 decibels, emit toxic pollutants including carcinogens, and degrade the quality of life for every resident. Safe, effective electric alternatives exist and are already required in 6 Westchester municipalities.

We ask the Board to act now, not wait for county legislation that has no timeline, and join Irvington, Larchmont, Rye, Town of Mamaroneck, Village of Mamaroneck, White Plains in protecting our community's health, air quality, and peace.
