singsong

Autotune harmony from any sound — voice, ambient noise, anything.

What is this?

A set of self-tuning wind chimes. Sing, hum, whistle, or point your phone at any drone — a gas-powered leaf blower across the street, a dishwasher, a passing train — and singsong harmonizes what it hears into the key and scale you choose. Turn ugly noise into a song.

There's a reason this tool exists, though. Every time you reach for it when the gas leaf blower next door fires up, you're noticing what we've been saying all along: these machines shouldn't be the background music of our neighborhood. We're working on getting them banned in Croton — until then, at least the racket can be in tune.
